username1 authored username2's repository. username1 is my other username on github. Why is it still being used after I entered username2 as my username in my push?

I did "git push -u origin master", and typed username2 as my username as I successfully pushed to username2's repository. However, at github, it is saying username1 authored this repository. Why is this?
