The repository size isn't large. It's the very clone of those objects that seem to take forever.

How would I shrink a remote repository that already has over 13,000 objects being cloned. I tried graphing old files away as well as third-party vendor folder removal. But still, the speed of the clone is almost a minute. Anything else I can do?

I'll attempt this question here only because it involved cloning from github. What is the strategy on shrinking remote repositories that have grown exponentially. More specifically, a project with 13,000+ objects that are being pulled. I've tried graphing and doing the recomended suggestions. However, the speed of cloning is almost a minute.
