canton7: to clarify something, does the fully uncompressed size of the local repo (on the PC) correspond to the repository size on GitHub?

Is there a way for me to get a rough estimate of how large (how much space does it take up, that is) a specific repo of mine is ?

I have two instances of source code, each reaching around 800 MB size. What would be the most appropriate (if any) way to get this on github? I'm asking because of Github's 1GB limit. Context: I'll be uploading Lolipop and Marshmallow kernel source code to help make custom ROMs for my device

on github, how do I label the issues in the repos that aren't mine?
