Caelum I'm using phpstorm..and I selected vcs _> check out from version control -> github. Created a dir in my project folder and it basically created an empty project folder

I'm trying to learn how to work with github. I have a project on my local machine I have started, and I just now created a repo in github. In my IDE I want to connect the two. when you clone a repo on to your local machine..that is a seperate file taht your working dir.. correct?
