but right now its very inconvenient to grab like 10 different libraries' git releases whenever you checkout a project

its a tidy pattern to have travis CI build open source project and submit git release. can even be made deterministic a hash used to verify binary you have came from certain source code and build procedure.

you know what we really need? git release-annex! that is someone needs for fork git annex and change it to work with git releases.
