I took a look at the Gemfile it created and noticed it missed a comma between two gems.

Ah. Ok, jekyll-assets installation suggests I am supposed to have a gemfile to begin with.

Supposedly installs all the other things people use when building sites around jekyll. Fairly well supported but I have had nothing but erros for 2 days.
