I have a repository I use as a template so there is no functionality to break and I want everything to be up to date without bothering me to approve things

is it no longer possible to auto-merge updates in .github/dependabot.yml like it was in .dependabot/config.yml? I'm looking in help.github.com/.../configuration-options-for-dependency-updates and am not finding any such feature

nedbat: a perfect stranger, it's a promotional email. I don't want to advertize their spammy thing here. I am just wondering, probably in complete futility, if there is any way to prevent or deter this.

Add a commit to a repo with the word 'pylint' in it. Get an email about a python code formatter that I should totally check out d00d! This is happening more and more. Anyone know how to deal with this?

I'm setting up branch protection using circleci. What's the difference between "ci/circleci", "ci/circleci: Build Error", "ci/circleci: build" ?

brand n00b to jekyll, using it with github.io. I added a new post to _posts but it doesn't appear in the index of posts (along with the default Welcome to Jekyll! post). what else do I need to do to get it a new post to appear in the index on the landing page?

trying to use jekyll with github.io. adding a new file to _posts (with the appropriate file name) should be enough to get it to show up in the index I think, but it's not appearing. do I need to do something else?

Is there ghm for linking someone to a particular branch of a repository, or should I use a long form URL for that?
