Ah, I see, thanks, but that isn't what I was looking for, I meant more like a nondescript GUID, for example "60e7925a" as an ID

I've been looking and I couldn't find anything, is there a way, without plugins, to generate a unique permalink for each post, for example a truncated SHA-2 hash?
