Usually, when I mess up my fork I reset it, but because I have a pr open, if I reset it will close automatically and I also don't want that to happen

Hi there! I am very new to github, but I have been able to make commits, open pull request and so on. I consistently have problems with trying to update my pull requests. It is my understanding that if there was an update on the upstream repo that I should rebase and then add any new changes to my commit. Unfortunately, when I did this, it also added all of the recent changes to my pull request. Does anyone have any idea what I did wr
