nvm, just rememberd that config file changes aren't picked up unless you restart the test server

I'm struggling with why my site isn't picking up things in _posts, is there a good way to figure out why a file was ignored?

I'm trying to set a variable globally but to do so only if the value I want to set it to is itself set, is there a good way to do that?
