hi all - i m trying to understand the new branch feature when github desktop asks me if i want to bring my current work to the new branch. If i do this, it is actually MOVING my current work, instead of copying to the new branch ?

hi all - i have a basic question. If I commit on my computer on 2020/01/01 at 00:00. but i push to guthub on 2020/01/07 at 00:00 , would the date on github show the commit date on my computer, or the date I pushed to github ?
