the signature is correct, my local verification works. and github recognizes my key, as it works on another repo (with the same key)

ThiefMaster: well, i've recently read a post in which a "ext:[...] PRIVATE KEY" (but i forgot the exact extension) listed about 5000 files with uploaded private keys. that made me fear to do accidently the same thing

ThiefMaster: im not very experienced with those, therefore i fear to make some mistakes with them. (upload the private key). Additionally, i feel my pc is not very secure. But i have to admit, i do not very secure/important things, so..

can i make git somehow use my git email adress every time for login? (with password of course). although i found a [github] section in a random gitconfig, i haven't found docs for it. my commits are using already my github email adress and username (specified in the gitconfig). i don't want to use ssh yet

hello. how is the "contributions" table e.g. here https://github.com/toogley calculated? my commit history is now using a completly consistent email adress and that overwie misses lots of commits made over that year.

what exactly is displayed here https://github.com/toogley "Contributions in the last year" (i mean how is the 31 calculated)? I ask that, because i deleted recently some branches and that Contributions in the last year dropped from somewhat over 100 to around 80 and from there to 31 (with some time beteween it) the thing that causes me wondering is that https://github.com/toogley/dotfiles the "Commits" info
