kile: http://jekyllrb.com/docs/permalinks/ You have to edit your config file to be something like "permalink: /:title.html"

It's in early stages, so be contious about it when upgrading versions of Jekyll.

It sounds like you're not looking for pagination, but rather pages. http://jekyllrb.com/docs/pages/

Well, if you need to host static site, there are still a lot of options. But if you're setup with Heroku, consider the remote build setup.

Arr0way: It might be best to set up Heroku to do the actual build tho, it's sort of what Heroku is for. If you're just looking to host the static sites there might be other/cheaper alternatives.

If you're not asking Heroku to build the site, it should be a pretty straight-up hosting job.
