+ [2013-10-28T23:56:17Z] jaybe _AJ, if you don't require a directory with an underscore, you could organize by directory still and use the permalink: front matter in the pages to assign the URI.

I would like to store all pages in a _pages directory. Is there anyway to tell jekyll to generate all pages located in _pages without including 'pages' in the url or path? Alternatively how about when generated, place the content of _pages into the site root?
+ [2013-10-29T00:00:08Z] _AJ That'll work for the pages.
+ [2013-10-29T00:01:32Z] _AJ The goal is to extend jekyl to have:
+ [2013-10-29T00:01:32Z] _AJ _posts = blog posts
+ [2013-10-29T00:01:32Z] _AJ _pages = standard pages
+ [2013-10-29T00:01:32Z] _AJ _articles = documentation articles
